In November 2008, at the height of the recession, the Law Society organised the first of what has now become a regular twice yearly conference aimed at high street solicitors. At the original and succeeding events, contributors from the worlds of finance, accounting and economic forecasting have teamed up with the society’s own personnel to deliver a quick, contained but informative event on the state of the market and what might be done to weather the economic storm.
With perhaps the first shoots of recovery finally appearing this spring, we will once again bring together a diverse group of speakers to advise on the way forward and the likely course of a “return to normal”. Feedback from past events has been excellent and, in recognition of the subject matter, the event is once again delivered at no more than cost.
