This conference will provide lawyers working in employment law with an overview of how technology has changed work and insights into where current and future trends might lead, and their implications.

The accelerated pace of technological change has led to several predictions – some enthusiastic, some dystopian – of how developments in digital technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence will change the world of work.

Already, we have seen the likes of Uber and Deliveroo transform entire sectors, posing new questions for the rights and roles of self-employed workers. Meanwhile, new digital technologies have led to a growth of workplace surveillance, with more employers monitoring their employees’, raising concerns about employee privacy.
