Criminal Law Conference

23 October 19

Recent developments, with practical advice on how to adjust

Venue: The Law Society of Scotland, 144 Morrison Street, Edinburgh

There is a lot to talk about in criminal law right now. The ramifications of the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2016 continue to be felt, and the subsequent case law has clarified some areas while complexifying others. In addition to this, the Vulnerable Witnesses (Criminal Evidence) (Scotland) Act 2019 has brought its own changes while recent high-profile cases featuring social media have raised questions as to the admissibility of livestreamed evidence and its risks of falling in contempt of court.

All of these issues, and more, will be addressed at the Criminal law conference this October.

CPD: 5.5 hours
