Associate Editor, Journal

Could you help edit the Journal?

The Journal is offering a unique introduction to publishing for a new lawyer interested in helping with the planning, editing and writing of the magazine.

The Associate Editor post will be for six months, and involve 7.5 hours (one day equivalent) each month. It represents an exciting opening for a law student/trainee solicitor/PQE less than five years or an accredited paralegal with an interest in publishing.

The role will involve collaborating with Peter Nicholson, the Journal Editor to research and plan upcoming issues of the Journal. This could involve discussing ideas for content, writing, vetting or editing articles, liaising on production of the magazine and making sure all deadlines are met.

As well as participating in the editorial stages of the publication process, the Associate Editor will help promote magazine content on social media.

The position will be a valuable addition to a future CV and it offers an excellent chance to gain an entry-level grounding in publishing.
