Society unveils new services scheme
The Law Society of Scotland is launching a new initiative to put solicitors in touch with the providers of key services
A new initiative to put solicitors in touch with the providers of key services is being launched by the Society in April.
The scheme offers a range of marketing opportunities designed to help businesses raise their profile and promote their services to solicitors and legal firms.
Charlotta Cederqvist, the Society’s business development manager, said: “The Service Provider Scheme is an important part of the Society’s promotional programme for 2008. The scheme is just one example of the Society’s aims to develop a more commercial focus.
“Not only will it help solicitors access services that can benefit their business: the revenues raised will bring added value to members of the profession.
“The businesses promoting their services benefit from a wide range of valuable marketing opportunities, for instance through the Society’s website, the Journal and at exhibitions and events.”
The first company to join the scheme is corporate services firm Oswalds. Director Andrew Cockburn said: “Oswalds has a very longstanding relationship with the legal profession.
“Being the first new member of the Service Provider Scheme continues our commitment to developing this relationship by providing benefits for all parties across our wide range of corporate legal support services.”
Eddy Winter, Marketing Manager at Capital Solutions, which has also joined the scheme, added: “As a key supplier to the legal profession, the Scheme allows us to promote and advertise our leading office equipment and electronic document solutions within a controlled and respected environment.”
