AAMER ANWAR & CO, Glasgow, are delighted to announce the appointment of Urfan Dar (right) as a criminal solicitor advocate and associate at the firm. Mr Dar previously worked at BELTRAMI & CO.
BURNESS PAULL, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, has appointed Jody Crockett (right) as a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution team. Also qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales, he joins from FRESHFIELDS BRUCKHAUS DERINGER, London. The firm also announces five internal partner promotions: Joanna Fulton, who specialises in product liability as well as the firm’s international strategy; Lindsay Wallace, a corporate lawyer who also becomes the firm’s first general counsel; Graeme Bradshaw, of the property team; Andrew Christie in the banking and funds practice; and Graeme Palmer who works in public procurement and state aid law. Claire Macpherson, previously with BTO, has joined the firm’s private capital team as director.
COCHRAN DICKIE & MACKENZIE LTD, Paisley, announce the appointment of Lyndsey Adam and Jennifer Cochran as directors, effective from 1 July 2017. David Allan, consultant and Patrick Small, director, both previously of McFADYEN & SEMPLE, Paisley, retired on 31 October 2016. The directors wish them a very happy and lengthy retirement.

With effect from 30 June 2017, Alastair Duthie announces that he has retired from legal practice, having completed 12 months as a consultant with BALFOUR + MANSON LLP, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, following the merger of Balfour + Manson LLP and DUTHIE WARD, Aberdeen on 30 June 2016.
