Lord Eassie reappointed as law reformer
16 August 2005
Lord Eassie, Chairman of the Scottish Law Commission since July 2002, has been reappointed for a further five years.
Lord Eassie serves part-time, combining the post with his duties as a judge of the Supreme Courts in Scotland.
Announcing his appointment, Justice Minister Cathy Jamieson said: "The Commission is currently studying legal issues in several significant and complex areas and I believe that Lord Eassie's reappointment will provide, in addition to his extensive knowledge and experience, a level of continuity which will prove invaluable."
