New partner for Morton Fraser

Andrew Meakin will be joining law firm Morton Fraser as a partner from 18 April.

Mr Meakin joins the banking and finance group of the corporate and commercial division. For the past four years he has been a partner with Maclay Murray & Spens, and was previously with Dundas & Wilson.

He has extensive experience of advising funders on a wide range of corporate and structured banking transactions including property finance and corporate acquisition finance.

Welcoming Mr Meakin's appointment, chief executive Linda Urquhart said: “He is very highly regarded as a banking lawyer in Scotland. Andrew’s appointment will further strengthen our position within the banking sector.”
