Commercial property PSLs in new support group

A new group has been formed for professional support lawyers (PSLs) working in commercial property departments in law firms in Scotland.

PropertyPSLS, formed to provide mutual support for members in their roles as PSLs, currently has 12 members in 10 firms. The group meets bi-monthly to discuss issues current in commercial property law which are relevant to its members' practice, such as SDLT problems, the Title Conditions Act and the use of trust clauses in dispositions.

The group liaises with the English property PSL group, Association of Property Support Lawyers, and with the Property Standardisation Group on matters of common interest.

The next meeting will be in May 2006. The group would be pleased to hear from potential new members. The contact is David Edwards at Brodies (david.edwards@brodies.co.uk).
