Sheriff's car slashed for being a "Hearts" car
A Tayside sheriff found himself the victim of crime when a teenager damaged his car because he thought the maroon vehicle was a "Hearts car".
Jamie Taylor, a 17-year-old Hibs fan, changed his plea to admit damanging Sheriff Lindsay Foulis' Volvo estate by slashing score marks across the bonnet. He had been due to go to trial with Sheriff Foulis as a Crown witness.
Taylor was remitted back to the children's panel yesterday. He told the police he did the sheriff's car because it was a Hearts car and that when he got in stressful situations he just lost control.
Sheriff Foulis is known to be a Dundee FC supporter. Taylor's initial appearance was before him but he declined to hear the case when he realised he was the victim.
