Step up for Colin Hulme at Burness

The commercial law firm Burness has promoted Colin Hulme to partner.

Mr Hulme studied law at Dundee University, trained at Semple Fraser and worked with Dundas & Wilson from 1999 to 2001 before moving to Burness. He also has a masters degree in IT and telecoms law from Strathclyde University and his new role will focus on IP and technology.

Burness chairman Philp Rodney believes that Burness may now have the biggest commercial litigation team in Scotland. This month the firm's expanding Glasgow office will move to premises in the Aurora building, Bothwell Street.
