Recognition for construction specialist
Neil Kelly, a partner in the law firm, MacRoberts, has been made an honorary member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in recognition of his contribution to construction law in relation to surveying.
Head of construction law at MacRoberts since 2003, Mr Kelly has been a partner since 1991 and specialises in construction and civil engineering disputes of all kinds, acting for employers, consultants, contractors and their insurers.
He said: "Clearly it is a great privilege to be made an honorary member of such a fine body as the RICS, many of whose members I have worked with on a wide variety of construction law and property-related issues."
Invitations to become an honorary member of RICS, of whom there are around 100 out of a total membership of 130,000, are made to only six non-surveyors every year.
