Prime office move for Semple Fraser

Law firm Semple Fraser is to move to a new office on Glasgow's St Vincent Street.

The firm, currently located at no 130, has signed up for a 15-year lease, with a 10-year break option, on the seventh and eighth floors of no 123 in an off-market deal concluded on 1 November. The new office will give the firm some 30,500 sq ft of space.

The complex deal involved lease terminations for Aberdeen Asset Management PLC and HBoS, who are relocating to their new headquarters across the street at 110 St Vincent Street in 2008. Semple Fraser will take possession in July 2008.

Paul Haniford, commercial property partner, said: "The firm is rapidly growing as we continue to capitalise on opportunities throughout the UK and therefore it was important that we found new premises that could accommodate us.

"The city centre location is ideal - right in the heart of Glasgow’s buzzing business community with great social amenities and easy access to good transport links.”
