Tayside firm shortlisted for recruitment award

Thorntons Solicitors has been recognised for its contribution to graduate recruitment by reaching the final six at the UK wide TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards.

The Tayside legal firm was among the organisations shortlisted for the "Outstanding Contribution to Developing Employability and Skills" award at the Park Lane Hilton ceremony last week. Other shortlisted companies included Enterprise Rent-A-Car, JP Morgan and DMH Stallard.

Designed to honour the best graduate recruiters, campaigns and websites, the National Graduate Recruitment Awards are divided into 16 categories, spread over different sectors of employment including legal, retail, construction, IT, finance and engineering.

Helen Archibald, director of HR at Thorntons Solicitors, said: “Making the short list is a wonderful achievement and a huge boost for the team at Thorntons as we were compared not only to other law firms but with blue chip organisations across every sector in the UK.”

Thorntons has offices in Dundee, Perth, Arbroath, Forfar and Edinburgh.
