The four partners are Brian Moore, Guy Norfolk, Alan Stewart and Chris Vause.

Brian Moore trained with MMS and becomes a corporate partner in the firm’s Edinburgh office, while Guy Norfolk, also corporate, makes partner in London.

Alan Stewart joins the partnership team in the Edinburgh property department; Chris Vause is in the banking and finance section of the London office.

In addition, the firm has promoted 10 solicitors to associate status: Gavin Buchan, banking and finance (Edinburgh); Lorna Burnett, capital projects (Edinburgh); Amelia Horvath, corporate (Edinburgh); Louise Adamson, employment, pensions and benefits (Edinburgh); Mary Swaine, Employment, pensions and benefits (London); Carolyn Burns, EU, competition and regulatory (Glasgow); Alan Eccles, private client (Glasgow); Katharine Bichard, property (London); Alex Coulter, property (London); and Sarah Peock, property (Edinburgh).

Magnus Swanson, chief executive of MMS, said: “As a firm committed to profitable growth, it is particularly significant that half of these lawyers joined us as trainees. From a strategic viewpoint, the appointments cover all of our geographical locations and a good range of our departments.”

The firm now has 77 partners and total staff of approximately 600.
