Brodies' figures show big leap

28 July 2008

Brodies LLP, Scotland's largest legal firm outside the "big four", has produced further evidence that it is challenging the leaders with its announcement of big rises in revenue and profits in the year to 30 April 2008.

Turnover jumped 23.4% to £37 million, while profits were up by 29% at £15.1 million. The firm, which now has 62 partners, has appointed David Edwards, formerly with Royal Bank of Scotland, as its new finance director.

Bill Drummond, managing partner, said it had been another remarkable year for Brodies. "We have again reached our financial targets by delivering premium client service, through significant investment."
