District procurator fiscal for Dunfermline appointed
Catriona Dalrymple has been appointed as the district procurator fiscal for Dunfermline.
Ms Dalrymple, 34, began her career as a Crown Office trainee, joining the service in 1997. Following her traineeship, she worked in Edinburgh as a procurator fiscal depute for five years. She was promoted to principal depute in 2003 and worked in the Criminal Confiscation Unit.
In October 2003 she took up post as the legal assistant to the Crown Agent. Earlier this year she ran the Fife Area High Court Unit Team, and was then seconded to the National Casework Division in the Crown Office.
Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini said: “Catriona Dalrymple has a keen understanding of the need to ensure that the prosecution service is in touch with the communities it serves, and responsive to local issues."
