Five appointed to Bird Semple

Bird Semple has welcomed a number of new recruits to its tax, conveyancing and asset protection teams.

Amber Heron has joined as the firm’s personal tax manager. She has worked for PWC, Ernst & Young, Biggart Baillie and MacLay, Murray & Spens. Her appointment allows her predecessor, Douglas Seaton, to return to the field of employment based tax services.

The conveyancing team sees the appointments of Katharine Smith and Alison Morton, as assistants to Karen Lang and Karen Fulton. They move from McClure Naismith.

Joining the asset protection team are Karen Stewart and Allyson Gilchrist, as assistants to Tom Monteith, Frank Fletcher and Pamela Niven. Ms Stewart was previously with McClure Naismith, while Ms Gilchrist joins from Biggart Baillie.

Managing partner Frank Fletcher said: “We are especially pleased about the high calibre of each individual and the professionalism and experience that they offer both the firm and, more importantly, our clients.”
