Lord Advocate travels to Dumfries for opening of modernised facility
The Lord Advocate has officially opened the refurbished procurator fiscal office for Dumfries.
The new office, in the town's Buccleuch Street, includes a conference room, interview rooms, and videoconferencing and training facilities.
The office is one of two procurator fiscal offices covering Dumfries and Galloway, the other being in Stranraer. Accommodation is available in Kirkcudbright for use on court days. The area procurator fiscal is Tom Dysart.
Elish Angiolini QC, the Lord Advocate, said: "This excellent new facility gives the staff of the Dumfries procurator fiscal's office the working environment they deserve."
