Karen Anderson to take over top slot at community justice organisation
Karen Anderson has been appointed as the chief executive of the community justice organisation Sacro.
Ms Anderson is currently the head of corporate services and company secretary for the Institute of Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS), and has considerable experience in the voluntary sector. She will take up her new post in February next year, succeeding Susan Mathieson.
Sacro promotes safer communities across Scotland through the provision of high quality services aimed at reducing conflict and offending. The organisation provides services in criminal justice, conflict resolution and youth justice; and influences the development of public policy in these areas.
Susan Matheson said: “Sacro is an organisation of talented and dedicated board members, staff and volunteers, who will give Karen a warm welcome and provide valuable support for the future development of Sacro."
