Solicitor General opens new PF office

16 January 2009

The Solicitor General for Scotland, Frank Mulholland, officially opened the new procurator fiscal's office for Fort William today.

The new office at Tweeddale, High Street, includes a designated interview room so that witnesses can have privacy to discuss their case with the fiscal. There is also new conference room, and video conferencing facilities, so that staff can work with community groups and other agencies, and participate in meetings and training events.

Opening the building, Mr Mulholland said: "This excellent new facility gives the procurator fiscal Alison Wyllie and her team at the Fort William procurator fiscal's office a modern working environment, and will allow them to continue to work to give the people of Fort William and Lochaber the safe community that they deserve.”
