Burness announces re-appointments

Philip Rodney, chairman, and Ian Wattie, managing partner at Scottish law firm Burness have been re-appointed in their present roles for a further three years until 31st July 2012.

Peter Lawson, head of corporate finance, has been appointed as the elected member of the governance and strategy board.

Rodney said: “Through a focused strategy, a commitment to constant improvement of our service delivery to match that of the best City law firms, and the efforts of the whole Burness team, the firm has achieved a great deal over the last three years.

“These are challenging times for our clients and the profession, but the changes in the market also offer up opportunities.”

Philip Rodney, as chairman, will continue to spearhead the firm’s strategy, with Ian Wattie continuing in the role of managing partner with responsibility for the management of the business. Peter Lawson, as elected member, represents the partnership in evolving strategy and governance issues.
