Tods auction work experience for charity

Tods Murray is offering a week’s work experience in the firm as part of an online charity auction.

The week, to be taken any time during this summer in either the firm’s Edinburgh or Glasgow office, is offered as part of the firm’s fundraising efforts for St Columba’s Hospice and The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice – the firm's current joint charities of the year. To date, the highest bid is £200.

The silent auction is available on the Tods Murray website www.todsmurray.com and is part of the firm’s Halfway Hospice Challenge, which has 12 teams of lawyers, engineers, architects and bankers competing against each other to raise the most for the two charities through a variety of fundraising initiatives and challenges.

Ashlie Turner, head of the charity team, said there seemed to be a bit of competition for the placement. "The week will give someone the opportunity to see how a law firm works and will be valuable experience to someone thinking about a career in law.”

The hospice competition reaches a climax on 18 March with a cycling challenge beginning at the Falkirk Wheel, with teams journeying along the canal to their destination in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
