Brodies appoints new partners and associates
Brodies has appointed three new partners in its Edinburgh and Glasgow offices: Jackie McGuire in the public sector services group, Jonathan Cornwell in the personal injury team, and Manus Quigg in the construction and engineering group.
The internal promotions follow the recent lateral hires of partners Will McIntosh, David Allan and Catherine Feechan to Brodies’ corporate department and of Elena Fry to the insurance and health and safety team, making a total of seven new partners in 2010.
Ms McGuire is an expert in local government law and has served as director of the firm’s public sector services group.
Mr Cornwell is an expert in reparation law with extensive experience of both pursuing and defending high value and complex claims in the sheriff courts and the Court of Session.
Mr Quigg is dual qualified in Scotland and in England & Wales, and specialises in all aspects of construction law.
In addition Brodies is making six appointments to associate from its senior solicitors: Sophie Gillan, Janine Lu and Marion MacInnes, all within banking and financial services; Linda Mackenzie in property; Stuart Mackie in litigation, and Paul McLaughlin of the corporate team.
