Terra Firma raises London profile

28 May 2010

Terra Firma Chambers has increased its profile south of the border by hosting a champagne reception and dinner at the Caledonian Club in London.

The stable, which specialises in public law including administrative, planning and environmental matters, claims the 21 May event as the first of its kind for a stable at the Scottish bar. It was aimed at fostering closer relationships with English lawyers and planner professionals and encouraging direct instructions to Terra Firma members from law firms in England & Wales.

Guests were invited from the legal, planning, property and environmental sectors.

Douglas Armstrong QC, vice-Chairman of Terra Firma Chambers said: "The London Launch of Terra Firma heralds another exciting chapter in the development of our chambers. Hopefully this marks the first of many similar events to establish and build relationships with English instructing agents."

The stable has 10 members with dual qualification in Scotland and England & Wales, including two Queen’s Counsel.
