Scots solicitor is Iron Woman
A Scottish solicitor has put in a strong performance in an international endurance event.
Isobel Joiner, a partner at Allan McDougall and Co, Edinburgh took fifth place in her category in the Ironman of France event in Nice.
She took 11 hours 41 minutes non-stop to complete a 2.5km swim, a 120km bike ride, followed by a full marathon, a time that is just outside the standard which would have qualified her to participate in the World Championships in Hawaii later this year.
Colleagues at her firm are used to her turning up for work at 9am having already been out for a 20 mile run.
