Kenneth Irons joins Gillespie Macandrew

17 January 2011

Gillespie Macandrew has announced the hire of Kenneth Irons as a partner in its commercial property department, as from today.

Mr Irons joins from Archibald Campbell & Harley, where he was a partner. He has also worked with Dundas & Wilson and McGrigors.

Derek McCulloch, Head of Corporate at Gillespie Macandrew, said: “Adding Kenny Irons to our team is a significant move as he has an impressive track record of success in the commercial property field. His experience in cross-border deals, his contacts in the Scottish agency sector and with London law firms, will supplement the resources we have already built up in this sector.

He added: “Our aim to further increase our profile within the Scottish commercial property sector will be greatly assisted by the continued growth and increased activity of our commercial property department working in conjunction with our rural, property litigation and construction teams, particularly in our chosen sectors of energy, development and construction.”

Mr Irons is the second recent partner appointment by Gillespie Macandrew, Alistair Anderson having joined the firm’s land and rural business department in early December.
