Dundas & Wilson to open in Aberdeen

2 February 2012

Dundas & Wilson, one of Scotland's biggest legal practices, is to open an office in Aberdeen, the firm confirmed today.

It said the move came in response to a growing demand from existing clients and the intermediaries it regularly deals with, to have a permanent presence in the city.

The Aberdeen team will be led by senior corporate partners Douglas Crawford and David Davidson, and senior associate Helen Machin, all well known already in the local business community. The firm will initially concentrate on the corporate market, but will build a team to address the specific requirements of the wider Aberdeen market.

Mr Davidson said: "Both Doug and I have worked on a number of transactions on behalf of clients based in Aberdeen and the north east or involving Aberdeen companies, and we appreciate what a dynamic and exciting market it is. As a firm, we recognise the importance of establishing a permanent and properly resourced presence in the city."
