Brodies appoints two new partners

8 February 2012

Brodies LLP has bolstered its Aberdeen office by appointing two new partners from local firms.

Clive Phillips, who has in-depth knowledge of the rural sector both as a working farmer and specialist in agricultural law, joins Brodies' agriculture & estates team, while Mark Stewart brings his expertise of estate and succession planning to the firm's private client department.

Both lawyers join Brodies from practices in Aberdeen and will be based at the office that opened last year in the west end of the city, bringing the total number of staff there to 28.

Bill Drummond, managing partner of Brodies, said: "The considerable expertise that lawyers of the calibre of Clive and Mark bring to Brodies will deliver tremendous benefit to clients in the agricultural sector seeking to diversify or for advice on tenancy reform and to private clients who want to protect their assets during such turbulent economic times.”
