Local firm takes on Highland Law Practice files
Arrangements have been made for the transfer of the client files of a Wick legal practice whose business was suspended last month.
An agreement has been reached between local firm Georgesons Solicitors and the judicial factor appointed to Highland Law Practice on 15 February, which will see all client files and paperwork of the latter firm transferred to Georgesons today (5 March).
Georgesons will contact the former clients of the Highland Law Practice, to inform them of the arrangements in place to deal with ongoing work. Any clients with concerns should contact Georgesons at 22 Bridge Street, Wick (tel 01955 606060).
The Law Society of Scotland said the judicial factor was "continuing to examine the circumstances that gave rise to the appointment on 15 February".
