An increase in the national minimum wage to £6.19 an hour from October has been announced by the UK Government.

However rates for 18-20 year olds will ramain at £3.98 per hour, and for 16-17 year olds at £3.68 per hour, though the rate for apprentices will go up 5p to £2.65.
All the rates are as recommended by the Low Pay Commission.
