Pinsent Masons partner in Aberdeen switch

25 September 2013

A Pinsent Masons partner has relocated to Aberdeen to focus on engineering and construction dispute resolution in the city.

Scott Johnston, an accredited specialist in construction and engineering law and dual qualified in Scots and English law, has moved from Glasgow to provide expertise in the complex disputes which can arise from energy and infrastructure projects.

He will work with energy and petroleum operator and supply chain companies to resolve engineering and service delivery disputes in the oil and gas sector, and with the domestic construction industry on disputes emerging from onshore infrastructure projects.

Roger Connon, head of Aberdeen office, commented: “Scott’s arrival gives us a full-time on-the-ground presence in a strategically important service area and underlines the importance we place on the Aberdeen market."

The office currently houses 10 partners, two legal directors and 50 support staff.
