Commercial lawyer Ken Ross joins Harper Macleod
Harper Macleod has made a lateral partner hire in its Edinburgh office with the signing of Ken Ross from Balfour+Manson.
Mr Ross joins the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Highland firm after heading the commercial law practice at Balfour+Manson for the past three years. He was previously at Burness for more than 25 years, including three as managing partner. His practice includes energy and renewables, in which he has been involved in pioneering work in relation to waste management PPP projects.
Martin Darroch, chief executive of Harper Macleod, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ken to the firm and bring in yet another top-class senior practitioner to our Edinburgh office. We see the expansion in the capital as crucial to sustaining our impressive year-on-year growth against the continuing backdrop of mergers and stagnation in the Scottish legal marketplace."
Mr Ross is the fourth partner to join the Edinburgh team this year. In its most recent results Harper Macleod, which marked its 25th anniversary this year, broke the £20m revenue mark for the first time.
