MacRoberts reports improved figures for latest year
Legal firm MacRoberts has announced improved financial results in the year to 30 April 2013.
Turnover was up by just over 1% to top £17.5, while operating profit was 10% ahead at £6.2m. The profit growth wipes out last year's dip from £6m to £5.6m.
In February the firm, which focuses on the commercial sectors, opened a Dundee office to add to its Glasgow and Edinburgh bases, and this is expected to provide further growth in the coming years.
MacRoberts claims that most practice areas delivered growth, rather than there being any standout performers.
Managing partner Craig Turnbull described the results as "excellent" given the current pressures on the legal sector.
He added: "While economic conditions are still challenging, we are delighted with the progress we are making."
