Essay prize offered for environmental law students
An essay competition for students of environmental law has opened, run by the National Trust for Scotland in partnership with the University of Glasgow.
The prize is in honour of the late Colin Donald, who had a distinguished association with both partners, spanning a period of four decades.
Scottish University undergraduate and postgraduate students are invited to submit an essay of up to 5,000 words on an environmental law subject of their choice. Submitted essays must be work undertaken in the current academic session.
The writer of the winning environmental law essay will win a cash prize of £500 and be offered a placement in the legal department of the National Trust for Scotland in summer 2017.
Essays must be submitted by Friday 31 March 2017, to Professor Iain MacNeil, School of Law, University of Glasgow, Glasgow G12 8QQ (e: firstname.lastname@example.org). Submissions will be judged by an expert panel, with the winner being announced by the National Trust for Scotland.
