Eilidh Wiseman and Morag Ross join Judicial Appointments Board
Solicitor Eilidh Wiseman and advocate Morag Ross QC have been appointed as legal members of the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland (JABS).
An employment lawyer by career, Ms Wiseman is a former President of the Law Society of Scotland and a visiting lecturer at the University of Lund, Sweden. She is also a trustee of the National Museums of Scotland, where she chairs the Personnel & Remuneration Committee.
After three years as a solicitor, Ms Ross became an advocate in 2003 and was appointed as senior counsel in 2016. She specialises in administrative and public law, civil liberties and human rights. She also has significant experience in EU law and commercial litigation. She served from 2008 to 2016 as a trustee and board member for Christian Aid.
The appointments are for four years and run from 1 February 2019 to
31 January 2023. They attract a remuneration of £290 per day for a time commitment of up to 40 days per annum.
