McDonald takes over as managing partner at RCCW
North east legal firm Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCCW) has chosen Callum McDonald as its new managing partner, following the retirement from the firm of Keith Allan.
Mr Allan is stepping down after almost 40 years’ service with the firm, including eight as managing partner.
Mr McDonald, who hails from Aberdeen, graduated from Edinburgh University in 1980 and joined the practice as an apprentice, later becoming head of its Commercial Property department.
RCCW has acquired two local businesses in the last 12 months, Connons of Stonehaven and Winchesters of Ellon, as part of its focus on developing and growing its existing branch network, and has plans to increase its client base further.
Mr McDonald commented: “I am most thankful to Keith for successfully leading us over the last eight years through periods of difficult recession. Keith has left the firm in good heart and I am delighted to be taking over as his successor during an exciting time for the company.
“RCCW is a leading full service law firm, and we are one of the biggest with our roots firmly in Aberdeen. We have an extensive knowledge of local markets, people and businesses. The recent acquisitions in Ellon and Stonehaven demonstrate our commitment to the north east which I am looking forward to developing in my time as managing partner.”
RCCW currently has a staff of more than 150, with branch offices in Stonehaven, Banchory, Ellon and Inverurie in addition to its Aberdeen headquarters.
