SEMLA collaborates with RBS in networking event
SEMLA, the Scottish Ethnic Minorities Lawyers' Association, has announced a collaboration with the Royal Bank of Scotland to hold a networking evening.
The event, for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) professionals, will take place in the Banking Hall of RBS’s flagship branch at 36 St Andrew Square, Edinburgh at 7pm on Thursday 5 September 2019. It will provide an opportunity for professionals to come together to expand their network, celebrate the diversity and talent that exists in Scottish workplaces and hear from some inspirational speakers.
"Justice, Inclusion, Career and Leadership go together" is the title of the talk to be delivered by keynote speaker, Sir Geoff Palmer, the first Black professor in Scotland, who was knighted in 2014 for his services to human rights, science and charity and named in 2007 as among "100 Great Black Britons". Other speakers from RBS and SEMLA will address the importance of diversity in the workplace and how to do more to drive diversity up the agenda.
Drinks and canapes will be served. To attend, please register as soon as possible on the EventBrite page. Tickets are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
