Scots score in top 10 law school list
Four Scottish law schools have made the "10 best universities to study law" in the UK, published in a national newspaper today.
Said to be "based on the latest 2020 data from the Complete University Guide, which ranks university courses according to graduate prospects, entry standards, research quality and student satisfaction", the Daily Telegraph rankings place Glasgow at no 3, Edinburgh at 7, Aberdeen at 9 and Dundee at 10.
Top places are taken by Cambridge, followed by University College London. Oxford is rated no 4 and Durham 5. Also appearing are London School of Economics and Political Science (6) and Kings College London (8).
The article lists what is said to be the "biggest advantage" of studying at each institution, which for the Scottish schools include opportunities to study abroad, proximity to the courts, law clinic experience and mooting opportunities.
