SYLA opens new season with social and career events
The Scottish Young Lawyers' Association's 2019-20 season launches from next week with a series of events already available for booking.
Launch parties will be held in The Corinthian Club, Glasgow (sponsored by Fraser Irvine Sheriff Officers) on Friday 27 September, and The Place Hotel, Edinburgh (sponsored by G2 Legal) on Thursday 3 October, both combining networking and drinks.
Alongside these, on Thursday 26 September the first career event of the season, "So you want to be a... freelance lawyer?", takes place at Pinsent Masons' office in Edinburgh, and on Wednesday 9 October SYLA partners with the Scottish Discrimination Law Association to present "Spotlight on sexual harrassment and the #MeToo movement", with an expert panel.
Completing the early season programme, Tuesday 1 October sees "A Night at Hobbs", in which the Hobbs shops in both Glasgow and Edinburgh invite SYLA members to an exclusive evening with nibbles, fizz and a styling presentation, with a discount on all purchases made on the evening.
