Victim Information and Advice Kirkcaldy service is extended to Dunfermline
The Kirkcaldy branch of the Victim Information and Advice Service, the part of the Crown Office and Procurator fiscal Service set up to help victims, bereaved next-of-kin and vulnerable witnesses, has been extended to Dunfermline.
The service offers information about how cases are progressing, the range of practical and emotional support available, and the criminal justice system.
Sue Moody, director of VIA, said: “The path through the criminal justice system can be difficult and distressing for victims, bereaved relatives and vulnerable witnesses. The VIA staff at Kirkcaldy will guide those in Fife along that path, showing the way through the system by offering information and advice to those who need it most.”
