New member appointed to Scottish Committee of the Council on Tribunals

Ms Lyndy Roberts has been appointed to the Scottish Committee of the Council on Tribunals, the body which acts as a watchdog ensuring best practice by administrative tribunals in Scotland.

Ms Roberts, who lives in Stonehaven, works as a solicitor with the Care Commission in Dundee. She previously worked as reporter to the children’s panel and is also an associate lecturer for the Open University.

The appointment will be for four years and will run from 1 December 2004. A part-time post, it attracts a remuneration of approximately £9,000 for a time commitment of 35 days per annum.
