New fees to be charged for filing and searching information at Companies House have been approved by each House of Parliament.
Companies House said that many fees have been reduced for the year ahead as a result of efficiencies gained from switching from paper to electronic services.
Tim Moss, Director of Corporate Strategy said that the agency now provides over 95% of information electronically.
He said: "The cost of providing many of our services has reduced and we have been able to lower many fees for information ordered electronically.
"Where we have increased fees, this reflects the increased costs of providing paper based services."
Examples of reductions include registration of Limited Liability Partnerships which will fall from £95 to £20, and same-day re-registration and change of a company name, down from £160 to £100. A webcheck company or LLP record paid for by credit card falls from £5 to £1.
Registration of a charge increases from £10 to £13.
The new fees will take effect from 1 February 2005.
