Revenues up at McGrigors

McGrigors unveils 5% rise in annual revenues following KPMG split

McGrigors has announced a 5% rise in annual turnover to £42.4m for the 12 months to 30 September, following an eventful year.

The firm ended an 18 month tie-up with the KLegal arm of the accountants KPMG last November, and subsequently lost a number of its partners. Senior partner Shonaig Macpherson then announced her decision to leave the company and the law, although she stressed at the time it was purely for personal reasons.

The firm's London office has seen a 30% revenue increase and McGrigors is interested in possible acquisitions to enhance its London presence. Rival firm Maclay Murray & Spens recently made such a move by acquiring the City Law Partnership.
