Elisabeth Miller appointed as new procurator fiscal for Angus
Elisabeth Miller, an experienced prosecutor currently working for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in Dundee, has been appointed as the Procurator Fiscal for Angus.
She will be based at Arbroath but will have responsibility for the prosecution service in both Arbroath and Forfar.
She takes up her post on 6 December 2004. Her predecessor Mr Jim Craigen has transferred to the Aberdeen Procurator Fiscal office.
David Howdle, Area Procurator for Tayside, said: "Elisabeth is a highly experienced prosecutor who also brings to the post invaluable knowledge of High Court work. She will ensure the local community continues to receive a high quality service."
A graduate of Edinburgh University, Elisabeth joined the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in Linlithgow in 1986 and transferred to the Crown Office for three years in 1990. Since March 2004 she has been the leader of summary trials team in the Dundee Procurator Fiscal office.
