Deliberately started fire closes sheriff court for the day
Police have launched an investigation into a fire in Fort William's sheriff court building.
Officers believe vandals smashed a window and threw a lighted object into a witness room at 4am yesterday. Although damage was confined to a small area, staff were forced to close the courthouse for the day while it was cleared up.
Northern Constabulary is now appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
