The Journal of the Law Society of Scotland and its website www.journalonline.co.uk have each been awarded certificates of excellence in a prestigious awards competition.
At the Scottish Corporate Communications Awards for 2004, organised by Communicators in Business (CiB) Scotland, the Journal was commended in the Best Internal Magazine category while the website was runner-up as Best Online Communication.
One hundred and ten nominations were received in 15 categories. "The standard of entries was extremely high and the judges had a difficult, but enjoyable, task to pick the winners and runners up", said CiB Chairman Alan Ramsay, compering the gala dinner at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. "Well done to all the winners and class finalists."
Peter Nicholson, Editor of the Journal, commented: "This is the Journal's second shortlisting in recent months and shows we are consistently meeting a high standard. The website award was also very pleasing as the site was only launched in October."
