Mrs Janet Cameron has been appointed by the Lord Advocate, Colin Boyd QC to the post of Area Procurator Fiscal for Lanarkshire, following the appointment of Jim Brisbane as Deputy Crown Agent.
Mrs Cameron, who jointed the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service in 1978, has been Area Procurator for Ayrshire since August 2002. Ian Murray, District Procurator Fiscal for Ayr, becomes Interim Area Procurator Fiscal for Ayrshire.
