Trial of Raj Jandoo, advocate accused of causing a bomb scare on a plane, due to conclude tomorrow

Advocate Raj Jandoo, accused of causing bomb scare on a flight to Stornoway, is due back in the dock tomorrow for the final day of his trial.

The former part-time sheriff has pleaded not guilty to a charge of failing to switch off his mobile phone on the aircraft on March 15 last year.

He is also accused of making references to a bomb, conducting himself in a disorderly manner and placing passengers in a state of fear and alarm.

The trial was adjourned for further defence evidence after three days of evidence last month.
