Text technology helping to revolutionise property sales

Finding your dream property is set to become easier thanks to a new mobile phone service being launched by Anderson Strathern today.

For the first time house hunters will be able to receive text messages containing edited property particulars direct to their mobile phone by dialling a unique reference code displayed on For Sale signs outside properties.

The instant text reply will include the property’s price, outline specification, viewing and the firm’s contact details.

It will also alert the house hunter if the property is under offer, has a closing date fixed or has already been sold.

Robin Stimpson, Managing Partner and Head of Residential Property at Anderson Strathern, said: “We are very pleased to be the first law firm in Scotland to use Keytxt. Housebuying is stressful, frustrating and time consuming and tends to be done outside office hours and mainly at weekends. Our residential business has grown significantly in recent years and we recognize the importance of moving forward with technological advances to keep ahead of competition and provide a straightforward, accessible service to house buyers”.

Steve Jackson, the firm's Marketing Manager, added that despite increased use of the internet to search for properties, 30% of house sales are as a result of housebuyers spotting a ‘For Sale’ sign in the first instance.
